Kerry Logistics participated in the first phase of the Pilot Green Transport Fund (PGTF) scheme backed by the Hong Kong Government, which is focused on trials for medium-sized HEVs.
Virgin Atlantic Cargo today reported revenues for the 2012/13 financial year of £230 million and thanked customers around the world for their support, which ensured the airline performed well in a global market that showed decline.
After two years of record growth, Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s results in the last financial year were virtually on a par with its best-ever figures, reported in 2011/12. The airline carried 214,737 tonnes in 2012/13, -0.91% lower year-on-year. This compares favourably with the average overall industry decline of -4.5%.

The top 100 NVOs in the United States saw a strong rebound from March’s unusually low numbers. Inbound TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) for the top 100 increased by 33% from March, but decreased nearly 5% from last April. The increase is attributed to a return to normal production in China after their New Year festivities.
The majority of NVOs saw an increase in inbound TEUs from March, but a number of NVOs saw big dips from last April. Apex Shipping, Orient Express, Phoenix International, and Danmar Lines all posted dips in imports by over 10% compared to last April. Expeditors and Blue Anchor Line, the top NVOs respectively, increased imports by about 5% from last year.
